What was appealing to you about this program or area?
From when I shadowed in the ED the feeling that I belonged was apparent at the first moment. I enjoyed that everyone was transparent and that everyone works together as a team. I love the structure of the program especially the receptiveness and adaptability of the faculty.

What was appealing to you about this program or area?
I didn’t really know St. Luke’s existed as a program, but applied to it regionally. After interviewing here, it immediately stuck out from the rest. The collegial nature of the relationship between attendings and residents, the way the residents seemed genuinely happy, and the area as a place to practice and live in were all very appealing. This program particularly is very supportive of their residents. In the beginning of second year my wife and I had a baby shortly before her father passed away. The program, from the leadership down to the residents, all stepped in to help out. From time off to meals to regular bonding days, this program shows how it cares about wellness.

What was appealing to you about this program or area? The people make our program. They are so incredibly nice and approachable. Plus we get complete autonomy over your patients from the start of residency. What I love most about living in the Bethlehem area are the numerous restaurants and events that happen throughout the year. Most notably, the Christkindlmarkt!

What was appealing to you about this program or area? When I interviewed with St. Luke’s, I just had that gut feeling that this was the right place for me. My co-residents are reliable and supportive, we hang out on a regular basis outside of work hours. The faculty have diverse interests and practicing styles so you can develop the style that is right for you. From day 1 first years are allowed and encouraged to see sick and complex patients. The Lehigh Valley is a beautiful area with lots to offer people of diverse interests. Whether it is sports, outdoor activities, or the nightlife, there is something for everyone.

What was appealing to you about this program or area? Friendly and very knowledgeable attendings. Lehigh valley is kind of a catchment area and can see a variety of pathology, lots of sick and complex patients. Lot of outdoorsy things to do around the area, close to bigger cities like Philly and NYC, decent cost of living
